A Night at the Opera
In honor of my gaming buddy Lyman Hurd, who often eschews gaming in favor of going to the opera (join me in heckling this bourgeois top hat-and-monocle mentality, won't you), I would like to present my review of TANNHAUSER. It's not about nazis. OR IS IT???

You missed a bit. The game's systems real failure as an FPS is snipers and open areas.
It does an ok job at emulating the close quarters office building map in Counterstrike. But without snipers and a little more range, you can't do any modern FPS style game at all.
Good point. The closest thing it has to snipers is those points where you get a bonus to shoot. But I'd be willing to bet that the Soviets will bring some snipers to the table.
It'd really have to have a different map though, like a street or something for snipers to work. It's really designed specifically for QCB it seems.
Hmm, sounds neat. With that name, I was expecting it to be about fetching Bratwurst und Zwiebelsauce (und Gurken?) for an angry German guy.
Good review, yet another game to downgrade on my want list.
*Goes back to playing Dark Crusade*
I would like to point out that the Gameshark links to the 1.2 installment of the column lead to 1.1. Perhaps a bug?
I'll try this one at Essen.
Nice review and album cover. I think the opera could use some elements from the game:
"O du, mein holder Abenstern--" BLAM BLAM! Wolfram has been killed by Dark Mistress Kinkytights!
It would be a hit.
Thanks for the review, Mike.
It hasn't dampened my enthusiasm for the game much, since I wasn't expecting a bigger experience than what you've got there. The backstory is great, however.

This won't have effect in reality, that's exactly what I think.
Wow, there is so much effective info above!
