The Sometimes-Weekly AT Snapshot - 07/20/07

GIVE 'EM REVOLUTION!

Today's photo was brought to us by the mysterious "Powdered Toast Man." Just who is this masked man? The world may never know. Thanks, Toast!

Hilarious...now will somebody play this damn game with me?

Oh, and who said the revolt was only 2006-2007?

Thaadd said...

Well, putting it ahead a year might be a bit presumptuous?

I need to dust off my Photoshop skills...

Michael Barnes said...

Not "presumptuous"- "ambitious".

Quit fooling around with Photoshop and get back to work on the next FFG depth charge to sink the SS Eurogame.

Dammit. That revolution is sacred! The congress of the american rebels copied it all from them. Keep your filthy hands off!

btw 2006/7 does sound like a whimp's kind of revolution. Give me 80 years (with perhaps a 12 year truce somewhere in the middel)!

Maybe Powdered Toast Man is eerily prescient, and 2008 will be a year marked only by Gleemax and more Unemployed Skeletor tit-holding.

Jur said...

and I spelled middel the way I did just to remind you of that! :s

Heh. Played one last night :) Never confuse me for a designer though! My roll in design is to sit down at the playtest and ask lots of annoying questions.
Heard you won't be at GenCon, a shame we could thrown down on some games...

Any other 'locals' here going to be attending though?

Michael Barnes said...

Yeah, you guys need to come down to Dragon Con sometime...if nothing else, to meet Will Kenyon, who is the ULTIMATE FFG fanboy. And so we can sit around at 3am and make nerd jokes at the expense of hapless con-goers.

Are cons welcome at cons?

I have (somewhere on VHS!) an old Gwar self-made Documentary (TVD I think it was called) with footage of them running amok at Dragoncon. I've wanted to go ever since...

Atlanta's a fair distance from us though (in terms of driving) and doing big Cons as a company is a fair amount of work. (Small and we look small, big and it's bloody expensive, and logistics wise, tough to pull off )

Maybe a few of us can go as normal humans one of these years... (I can get into more trouble without a logo shirt, in any case...)

Hey Thaad I'll be there.

Mike, Hotlanta is kinda far -- but then again so's Indy. Making fun of con nerds sounds fun, not too mention commenting on the various bouquets of B.O. that will undoubtedly be wafting around... but then again you like to make fun of fat people and I just might have to knock your skinny ass out and teabag you in public for that.

Hey Pat, of course cons are allowed at cons-- fait pas l'con. :)

I was going to go to the con but my costume got stuck in customs.

Jur said...

was it the beard, the shoes with batteries in the heals and the djellaba? Just to 'promote' Ysfahan?

Are cons welcome at cons?

More importantly are pros welcome at cons?...

Ken B. said...

Screw that...the real question is: "Is prose welcome at cons?"

Oh freddled gruntbuggly,
Thy micturations are to me
As plurdled gabbleblotchits
On a lurgid bee.
Groop, I implore thee, my foonting turlingdromes
And hooptiously drangle me
With crinkly bindlewurdles,
Or I will rend thee in the gobberwarts with my blurglecruncheon,
See if I don't!
