It turns out that there is some seriously gay subtext to the old He-Man cartoons. (Not that there's anything wrong with it.)
I mean, when you have characters named Fisto and and Ram-Man and Extendar (who can make his limbs longer), that's moving beyond mere campiness and into Village People territory.
Or in the words of one Mexican He-Man fan at CBR, "Well, it is the story of a muscled man -wearing hairy trunks, no less- fighting over a muscled skeleton for the control of a purple sword. When you're a kid, you miss a lot of subtext, but right now you go...whoa!"
